Financial Services

Financial Policies
The following is a brief overview of our billing policies. If you have any questions regarding any of these policies or a specific question for our Billing Manager please contact our office at (973)726-4455 and then access the Billing Manager extension.

Contracted Insurance Plans
Wellness Center Pediatrics is an In Network provider on most insurance plans. If you are uncertain as to whether or not we are an In Network provider under your plan, please contact your insurance company.

Filing of Insurance Claims
Wellness Center Pediatrics will file insurance claims for those patients who provide proof of insurance coverage at each visit. In order to most efficiently submit your claim, we ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your insurance plan as well as any address changes.

Secondary Insurance Claims
We cannot submit bills to secondary insurance plans on your behalf, but would be more than happy to provide you with the documentation so you can pursue this on your own.

Verification of Coverage
Wellness Pediatrics is unable to obtain verification of insurance coverage over the phone or internet when your arrive for an appointment. It is the parent’s responsibility to supply this information (ie. the insurance card) to whomever is bringing the child in for a visit (i.e. spouse, grandparent, nanny, etc.).

Billing Procedure
If you have an outstanding balance on your account, you will receive a monthly statement outlining the balance that is due from you.  This balance is due immediately upon receipt of the statement. If you have questions regarding the statement, or if you are working with your insurance company to obtain payment on a denied claim, please contact our Billing Manager as soon as possible so that your child’s account remains in good standing.

Self-Pay Patients
If you are an existing patient and you lose insurance for your child/children,  you may contact our Billing Manager for an estimate of the charge for a particular visit.  Payment in full is due at time of service.

Co-pay Collection
Your child’s copay is due at the time of service. Wellness Center Pediatrics reserves the right to charge a fee for copays that are not paid at time of service.

Separated and Divorced Families
For those families where parents are separated or divorced, the parent authorizing treatment and bringing the child to be seen is responsible for payment. All payments are due in full at time of service.  If a divorce decree requires the other parent to pay all or part of the treatment costs, it is the authorizing parent’s responsibility to collect it from the other parent.  Wellness Center Pediatrics cannot act as a mediator for collection of payment.

Inability to Pay
If your family is experiencing extenuating circumstances which will prevent payment of your copay or any balance due at the time of service, this matter should be discussed with the Billing Manager prior to your appointment.
